About The Position

This position may be responsible for any of the following duties: Analyzing & processing hourly & salary employees’ payroll Calculating & entering timecard data Assisting locations with questions regarding time system & payroll Entering vacation pay, holiday pay, sick leave, funeral pay, etc Knowledge and understanding of employee deductions Knowledge and understanding of Federal, State and local taxes Understanding Federal and State payroll requirements Understanding pay practices for each location Working with financial institution for direct deposit returns Processing and balancing bank payroll transmittal files Processing stop payment requests and replacing payments Processing W-2 forms and issuing reprints Assisting in and resolving W2 questions Assisting outside locations with their Timecard System Maintaining active and inactive employee files Assisting Corporate payroll specialists with questions Ensuring that data submitted has been entered timely Completing audit reports to ensure payroll data is aligned with HR data Any other duties as assigned This position’s work is extremely varied and works with highly confidential data. The position requires the interpretation of data from multiple sources and a keen eye for detail.

Requirements

  • Education: Minimum high school diploma or GED is required. Knowledge of high school subject matter such as mathematics, grammar, office equipment and business practices. Knowledge that is normally acquired by four years of high school, a vocational school or equivalent. Some college or vocational-technical school is preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years of related experience preferred.
  • Skills: Standard computer skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Special Skills: This position requires good organizational, interpersonal communication, and good problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in SAP, Excel, UKG Pro and MS Outlook preferred
  • Proficient in Spanish preferred.
