About The Position

The Title IX Coordinator 2 conducts impartial investigations of sex-based discrimination and sexual harassment complaints while ensuring compliance with federal Title IX regulations. This position centralizes Title IX case management through consistent procedures and serves as the district’s subject-matter expert on Title IX law and investigative best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 years in investigative roles. Demonstrated experience conducting workplace or educational investigations, including Title IX matters, showing comprehensive knowledge of Title IX regulations, requirements, and investigative procedures.
  • Experience working in K-12 education, higher education, or the government sector is preferred.
  • Software: Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, Microsoft Office
  • Title IX Investigator training/certification (may be obtained within first 90 days of employment)
  • Equipment: Office equipment (e.g., computer, copier)

Nice To Haves

  • Juris Doctor or Master’s degree in Education Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, or related field Preferred
  • Background in employment law, civil rights compliance, or related field preferred.
  • ATIXXA (Association of Title IX Administrators) or equivalent professional certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough and impartial Title IX investigations from intake through resolution, ensuring strict adherence to federally mandated timelines
  • Interview parties and witnesses, gather and analyze evidence, and prepare comprehensive investigative reports with findings and recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations, Office for Civil Rights guidance, and applicable case law while identifying gaps to prevent violations
  • Coordinate closely with Legal Services, campus administrators, law enforcement, and external agencies throughout investigations
  • Manage interim measures, supportive accommodations, and confidential case documentation in case management systems
  • Respond to OCR inquiries, complaints, and compliance reviews with required documentation and reports
  • Serve as the district's Title IX subject matter expert, contributing to policy development and staying current on evolving regulations
  • Develop and deliver Title IX training for district personnel and prepare data analysis and reports for leadership
  • Facilitate resolution meetings and informal resolution processes when appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned.
