Requirements

Proven experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) in a manufacturing or factory setting.
Strong knowledge of CNC programming, CAM programming, CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar platforms.
Familiarity with Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and automation systems used in manufacturing environments.
Hands-on experience with blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments.
Background in machining processes including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brakes, welding, and fabrication techniques.
Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and translate them into precise measurements on the shop floor.
Experience working with quality control procedures within a manufacturing facility or warehouse environment.
Basic math skills necessary for measurement calculations and data analysis.
Knowledge of materials handling practices and safety procedures in a factory setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up, calibrate, and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect parts and assemblies with high accuracy.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine measurement requirements.
Program CMM equipment using CAM programming software and understand CNC programming principles to optimize inspection processes.
Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify measurements.
Conduct detailed inspections using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards to ensure parts meet design specifications.
Maintain detailed inspection reports, documenting measurement data and any deviations from specifications.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot issues related to tooling, fabrication, or assembly processes.
Operate forklifts and handle materials efficiently within the factory environment for materials handling and storage purposes.
Support fabrication activities including welding, stamping presses, press brake machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other machining equipment as needed.
Assist in setting up tooling and fixtures for various manufacturing processes to ensure precision during production runs.
Follow safety protocols rigorously while working with hand tools, machinery, and factory equipment to maintain a safe work environment.
