About The Position

Oasis Rehabilitation and Nursing has opportunities Per diem Cooks to join their team! The Cook is responsible for prepping and preparing food for residents and staff. Nursing Home experience preferred.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must have general cooking knowledge
• 2 years of cooking experience
• Must be able to follow production sheets and standardized recipes

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a healthcare setting helpful

Responsibilities

• Handles and prepares food in accordance with federal, state and local sanitary regulations.
• Prepares nutritionally appropriate and appetizing meals, including modified consistency and therapeutic diets, as directed by Food Service Director and/or Supervisor.
• Properly cares for dietary equipment.
• Follows menus and special diet instructions.
• Takes food temperatures per policy and ensures food items are prepared, cooled, and stored according to corporate, local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Other duties are as assigned by the director or supervisor.
