About The Position

Sandcastle Hotel on the Beach is actively searching for a Cook to join the team! The Cook will primarily be responsible for cooking food as ordered and should be able to work on several different orders simultaneously. The Cook will also be responsible for washing, cutting and preparing food for serving and/or cooking. Must be available to work weekends. Core functions of the position, but are not limited to the following; Prepare and cook food according to recipes, Utilizing blenders, cutlery, and ovens to prepare food, Making sure area is clean and all quality and sanitation standards are met, including cold and hot storage, Control inventory for loss, waste and spoilage. Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces and utensils, keeping kitchen spotless to Pacifica Hotel Company standards and to all health codes. Adhere to food safety requirements. Utilize Proper Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and in accordance with property specific guidelines Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to restaurant and hotel guests. Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members. Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
