About The Position

Since 1927, The Hollywood Roosevelt has been more than a hotel. Today, we continue that story, welcoming guests from around the world who want to experience the glamour and energy of Hollywood. We are looking for a cook position to ensure proper execution of all hot and cold foods including appetizers, food including meats, fish, poultry, starches and vegetables. What you will do As a cook at The Hollywood Roosevelt, you'll ensure the exceptional preparation and presentation of all hot and cold banquet menu items-including appetizers, entrees, and sides. You'll follow hotel standards and recipes to prepare meats, poultry, fish, vegetables, starches, sauces. Your responsibilities include setting up and maintaining a clean, organized workstation, preparing dishes according to Banquet Event orders (BEOs), tasting and adjusting for quality, and following all food safety and sanitation standards. You'll work closely with the Executive chef team to deliver memorable dining experiences for our guests. Requirements

  • Minimum one (1) year of cooking experience in a high-volume or banquet environment (hotel or large operation preferred)
  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and California Health Codes
  • Proficiency with kitchen tools, ovens, grills, steam kettles, and other cooking equipment
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and maintain consistency in flavor, presentation and timing
  • Current California Food Handler's Card

Responsibilities
