Our mission is to deliver authentic and flavorful street tacos using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, all served in a lively and inviting atmosphere. We're committed to providing exceptional dining experiences that keep our customers coming back for more. We are seeking a talented and passionate cook to join our kitchen team at Desperados. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our delicious street tacos while helping to maintain a fast-paced and efficient kitchen operation.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a cook or line cook in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen procedures and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and thrive in a high-pressure environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to food quality and presentation.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of street taco dishes according to recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure that all food products are handled, stored, and prepared safely, following health and sanitation guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure smooth and efficient service during peak hours.
- Monitor food supplies and communicate inventory needs to the management team.
- Assist in the development of new menu items and specials.
