About The Position

West Gables Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Cook in Miami, FL. This Per Diem / PRN position typically involves 8-hour shifts, primarily on Fridays, with a compensation of $22 per hour. The Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital is committed to providing exceptional and compassionate care to best address the medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges for individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. Requirements

  • One (1) year cooking experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Culinary Arts degree preferred.
  • Completion of state or local food safety training course preferred.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.

  • Accept and understand both verbal and written instructions.
  • Provide high quality food preparation and service.
  • Clean and maintain equipment to meet department standards.
  • Maintain high standards of quality food production and portion control.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to help with work that needs to be done.
  • Take initiative to not only identify problems, but to bring about a positive and sustainable solution.
