About The Position

This position is responsible for: Prepares, cooks and serves nutritional meals and snacks in accordance with established guidelines and schedules. Utilizes kitchen equipment, utensils, and supplies in accordance with acceptable and economical cooking methods

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent AND One year experience cooking food for large groups OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• State-Issued Food Handling Certification
• Serv-Safe Certification (or ability to become certified)
• Valid State Drivers License

Responsibilities

• Ensures meals are prepared and served in a safe and presentable manner.
• Stores foods in safe and economical manner
• Cleans dining area.
• Cleans kitchen facilities and equipment.
• Maintains high degree of cleanliness in kitchen and dining area
• Maintain inventory of kitchen food and supplies to meet needs of kitchen.
• Receive donated goods and processes gifts-in-kind documentation.
