About The Position

The Reikart House, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, is looking for a Line Cook to become part of this Award-Winning Team for our fine dining restaurant, Jazzboline! We are looking for a professional Cook to prepare food to the exact chef's specifications and to set up stations for the menu. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the executive and sous chef with their daily tasks. Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour.

Requirements

2 years of full-time line cook experience in a high-volume restaurant
Strong ability to work in a team environment
Prior experience in a high-volume restaurant
Basic knife skills
Excellent attention to detail
Time management skills
Basic food safety knowledge
Ability to take direction
Ability to stand for long periods of time, including bending, lifting, reaching, and stretching
Able to lift 30lbs or more
Ability to move rapidly in a hot environment
Hazards include cuts from broken glass, hot kitchen tools, metal cans, and slipping and tripping.

Responsibilities

Prepare food of consistent quality following production and portion standards.
Ensure food is prepared to quality standards and in a timely fashion.
Determine necessary preparation and assist in prep work as required for the next shift.
Set up and continuously stock all stations with necessary supplies.
Complete inventory checks to maintain on-par levels.
Comply with sanitation standards.
