About The Position
The Daily Docket Café is seeking a skilled and efficient Line Cook & Prep Associate to join our kitchen team! In this role, you’ll prepare made-to-order meals with accuracy, maintain proper food safety standards, and ensure stations are stocked and ready for service. You’ll also assist with grab-and-go packaging, keep kitchen areas clean, and work closely with team members to keep food flowing efficiently. Responsibilities
- Prepare made-to-order items quickly and accurately to spec
- Ensure proper station setup and food prep before service begins
- Keep hot and cold food holding areas within temperature guidelines
- Label, rotate, and store ingredients and prepped items per food safety standards
- Restock the cook line and prep area throughout the shift
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment, and prep areas
- Collaborate with cashiers and attendants to keep food moving efficiently
- Prepare and package grab-and-go items during low-volume times
- Alert supervisor or cashier when low on ingredients or prep items
- Follow portion control and presentation guidelines for all dishes
