About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile professional to join our team as a Controls Engineer and Maintenance Supervisor . This hybrid role demands a strong foundation in electrical engineering, automation systems, and maintenance leadership. The ideal candidate will possess a broad technical skill set, a proactive mindset for continuous improvement, and the ability to manage complex systems and teams in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Proficient in PLC logic understanding and fault diagnosis.
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot electrical schematics (US and EU standards).
  • Deep knowledge of industrial electrical and electronic systems.
  • Familiarity with HMI configuration and machine parameter adjustments.
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Basic programming skills for PLC and HMI integration with SCADA.
  • Understanding of 3-phase high-voltage systems.
  • Knowledge of safety systems and protocols.
  • Exposure to robotic systems and basic programming.
  • Experience in prototype development and client presentation.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software.
  • Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST)
  • Certified Automation Professional (CAP)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or Automation Engineering

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise maintenance operations with a focus on electrical systems and automation.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in control systems including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drivers, VFDs, relays, contactors, and power supplies.
  • Interpret and modify electrical schematics (American and European standards).
  • Configure and fine-tune machine parameters via HMI interfaces.
  • Read and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
  • Perform basic PLC and HMI programming for SCADA integration.
  • Oversee startup and commissioning of new automation systems and equipment.
  • Ensure safety systems are properly implemented and maintained (e.g., emergency stops, interlocks, safety PLCs).
  • Support basic robot programming and integration.
  • Develop and present high-quality manufacturing packaging prototypes for client review.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Design Center.
  • Manage multiple priorities with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Utilize AutoCAD or similar tools for layout evaluation and minor modifications.
