About The Position

Allied Technical Services is hiring a Controls Electrician to support municipal pump stations and water/wastewater systems. This role focuses on electrical and controls troubleshooting, field service work, and supporting critical infrastructure projects. Requirements

• Industrial electrical experience with troubleshooting ability
• Experience working with control panels and electrical control circuits
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams
• Comfortable working independently in the field
• Valid driver’s license
• Arc flash / electrical safety training (or willingness to obtain)

Nice To Haves

• PLC / controls exposure preferred (troubleshooting, not programming)
• Pump station or water/wastewater experience a plus, not required

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair pump station electrical and control systems
• Work with control panels, PLC‑based systems, and motor controls
• Read schematics and wiring diagrams to diagnose issues
• Support VFDs, starters, relays, and control components
• Assist with basic PLC and SCADA troubleshooting
• Wire and support temporary pumps, generators, and control panels
• Respond to service calls and restore systems quickly and safely
• Work independently in municipal, outdoor, and industrial environments
