About The Position

As a Controller with Venturity you will be both a strong individual contributor and team leader and will be responsible for managing and performing the month-end close process for a group of our clients, as well as directly supervising the work of Staff Accountants and Assistant Controllers. This is a NOT a remote position, and will require you to work in our Dallas office daily. This is a hands-on position where you will have the opportunity to lead a team and continue to perform the hands-on accounting work that you love. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
• Must have 8+ years of hands-on accounting experience
• Experience with multi-company business
• Experience in expanding, fast growing organizations
• Experience with QuickBooks strongly preferred, Great Plains and other accounting software a plus
• Extensive full cycle accounting experience including closing the books and financial statement preparation and analysis required
• Prior Controllership experience
• Strong Excel skills
• Good organizational skills with ability to set priorities to meet deadlines on schedule
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to train and develop others
• Ability to effectively communicate financial concepts and data
• A goal-oriented, collaborative team player who possesses hard work and winning as a team mentality
• Professional approach to work, strong interpersonal skills and service-oriented mindset
• Ability to adapt to and learn multiple accounting systems
• Extremely detail oriented with high degree of accuracy in all aspects of reporting and communication

Nice To Haves

• CPA designation preferred
• Experience with QuickBooks strongly preferred, Great Plains and other accounting software a plus
