About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial management of our organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to the overall financial strategy. This position requires strong technical accounting skills, experience in public accounting, and proficiency in financial software such as Sage.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a similar role within a corporate finance environment.
• Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Sage or similar accounting software is highly desirable.
• Experience with payroll processing and cash management practices.
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements and SOX compliance is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management.
• Support the budgeting process by providing insights and analysis on financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and internal controls, including SOX compliance.
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure timely reconciliations.
• Provide technical accounting guidance to the finance team and assist in resolving complex accounting issues.
• Assist in the implementation of new accounting software or systems as needed.
