About The Position

The Controller plays a critical leadership role in shaping the financial health, operational excellence, and future growth of the resort. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller oversees all accounting and finance operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and insightful analysis that supports strategic decision-making. This role partners closely with the Executive Team to drive EBITDA growth, manage risk, and align financial strategy with the Company’s long-term vision. Beyond technical expertise, the Controller is a people-first leader who develops, coaches, and empowers the Accounting team while fostering a collaborative, service-oriented culture. Acting as a financial coach to leaders across the organization, this position brings clarity to complex financial matters and translates data into actionable insights. Ideal for a hands-on, strategic thinker who thrives in a dynamic, seasonal environment, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting employees, protecting company assets, and helping bring the Mt. Hood Meadows brand to life for every guest, every season. This is a full-time, benefitted, year-round position

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional Accounting / Finance experience with comprehensive understanding of GAAP
  • Experience with NetSuite (System Administration, Accounting, and Reporting)
  • Demonstrated leadership and personnel development skills
  • Excel and financial modeling skills with an aptitude for learning new applications quickly
  • Budgeting experience including Operating and Capital
  • Exhibit analytical ability and a high attention to detail
  • Capacity to work effectively and efficiently on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated project feasibility and financial pro forma capabilities
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must commit to working weekends and holidays during the winter season
  • This position is subject to successful background screening
  • Must be comfortable with the changing dynamics of a seasonal business
