Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3–5 years in construction accounting.
Strong understanding of GAAP, job cost accounting, and WIP reporting.
Experience with construction billing, retention, change orders, and contract compliance.
Proficiency with construction ERP systems and advanced Excel skills

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, job cost, and general ledger.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Manage Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules, revenue recognition, and job profitability reporting.
Partner with project managers to analyze job performance and forecast project outcomes.
Oversee construction billing processes including AIA progress billings, T&M, lump-sum, GMP, and cost-plus contracts.
Lead and develop the accounting team while driving improvements in financial processes, systems, and internal controls.
