Overview Under the general direction of the CFO, the controller is primarily responsible for financial statement and report preparation for all corporate entities. The controller is also responsible for management and control of the general accounting, payroll, and accounts payable sections. The controller will successfully manage the department ensuring that procedures are followed and internal controls are in place. The controller also must: ▪ Be able to direct, control, and supervise the activities of the general accounting department, including payroll and accounts payable. ▪ Possess technical and professional accounting skills, the ability to develop financial and other operational systems, and familiarity with data processing and personal computer capabilities and procedures. ▪ Be able to schedule, meet, and maintain daily and monthly routines, assign personnel, and maintain integrity of records. ▪ Oversee activities of the Accounting/Payroll department for accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including but not limited to internal and external monthly financial statements. ▪ Plan and coordinate the development of the annual operating and capital budget, as well as plan, coordinate and prepare for year-end external audit by Public Accounting Firm .
