About The Position

Job Summary: As the Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the financial operations, reporting, and compliance activities of the company. You will provide strategic financial insights, contribute to decision-making processes, and ensure the company's financial health and growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA designation is a plus.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in a senior finance role, preferably within the food or ingredient industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Management: Manage the company's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations to the executive team.
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analysis.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Oversee the preparation of regulatory and financial reporting, including tax filings, audits, and other compliance-related activities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address any financial reporting or compliance issues.
  • Internal Controls and Risk Management: Develop and implement effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
  • Assess and mitigate financial risks, identifying potential areas of concern and implementing strategies to address them.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead and manage the finance and accounting team, providing mentorship, guidance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain a high-performing team focused on delivering accurate and timely financial information.
  • Strategic Financial Planning: Collaborate with the executive team to develop long-term financial strategies that support the company's growth objectives.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making, including evaluating potential investments, acquisitions, and partnerships.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve financial processes, systems, and workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and technology adoption to streamline financial operations.
