About The Position

Our well-established manufacturing and services client is seeking an experienced Controller to lead its accounting and financial operations. This is a hands-on leadership role suited for a strategic, detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys partnering with executive leadership to drive operational and financial success. The Controller plays a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, strengthening internal controls, and providing insight that supports long-term business growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
  • 5+ years in a senior-level accounting or financial leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls
  • Solid understanding of GAAP
  • Experience with ERP and financial systems; manufacturing or production environments preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis
  • Proven people leadership and team development experience
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to senior leadership
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable financial regulations
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and develop ongoing financial forecasts
  • Partner with department leaders to manage budgets and improve financial performance
  • Support strategic planning through financial modeling and scenario analysis
  • Oversee job costing, inventory valuation, and production cost analysis
  • Collaborate closely with operations to improve cost visibility and profitability
  • Identify efficiency improvements and cost-saving opportunities
  • Design, implement, and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets
  • Ensure audit readiness and adherence to accounting standards and policies
  • Serve as a trusted financial advisor to executive leadership
  • Translate complex financial information into clear insights for non-financial stakeholders
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance team members
