About The Position

As Controller, you will own the financial backbone of Audien Hearing. You will lead all accounting and financial reporting processes, implement and strengthen internal controls, and ensure our financial operations scale cleanly as the business grows. You will work cross-functionally with operations, business intelligence, supply-chain, and leadership to provide clarity, insights, and financial accountability. The position reports to the Chief Financial Officer who is looking for a strong partner with high initiative.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as Controller or senior accounting/finance leader, ideally in a fast-moving consumer product, ecommerce, or DTC environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of GAAP accounting standards, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Comfortable working with inventory, cost of goods, returns, and revenue recognition complexities typical of product businesses, including recurring revenue.
  • Experience owning accounting systems, ERP or financial platforms, and managing system integrations
  • Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and ability to translate complex financial data into concise insights for leadership
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams (operations, supply-chain, leadership)

  • Experience building or managing a small accounting or finance team a plus
  • CPA or equivalent accounting certification preferred but not strictly required

Responsibilities

  • Oversee full cycle accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, inventory accounting, and month-end close
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual)
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls consistent with GAAP and regulatory requirements
  • Build a strong cost accounting and inventory valuation process for a DTC / Omnichannel consumer products company experiencing rapid growth
  • Strengthen internal financial controls and audit preparation.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning alongside leadership team
  • Partner with operations, supply-chain, and other cross-functional teams to ensure financial integrity across the business (e.g. inventory, returns, COGS, revenue recognition)
  • Be a leader within a growing team
