About The Position

We are seeking a Construction Controller to lead financial operations across both corporate and project-level accounting. This role will be instrumental in supporting strategic growth initiatives, managing audits, and ensuring financial compliance. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of hands-on accounting experience, leadership skills, and construction industry knowledge.

Requirements

Expertise in construction accounting.
Proficiency in financial planning and analysis (FP&A).
Leadership development skills.
Experience in compliance and internal control.
Knowledge of Viewpoint and audit preparation.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
4-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2–3 years in a controller role within construction.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
Proficiency in Excel data entry.

Responsibilities

Lead financial operations across corporate and project-level accounting.
Support strategic growth initiatives and manage audits.
Ensure financial compliance and prepare documentation for audit readiness twice annually.
Oversee accounting personnel with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
Handle financial compliance, including quarterly reporting tied to loan agreements.
Manage payroll, ERP systems, and multi-state tax preparation.
Engage in budgeting and forecasting on the project-side (30–40%) and month-end reporting on the corporate-side (60–70%).
