About The Position

Maximizes return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Similar Field (required)
  • 6+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting management.
  • Experience in multi-site healthcare operations
  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Strong knowledge of finance technologies, protocols, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in closing monthly accounting records in a timely manner.
  • Proficiency in financial planning and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to lead a team, work well in a team and independently.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of confidence.
  • Must be able to work proactively and under pressure. Some after-hour and weekend work may be required.
  • Comfortable working in a demanding fast-paced, customer-focused organization with start-up culture with evolving processes. Flexible and able to adapt to new situations as the business demands.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee monthly accounting close process within 7 business days (2 business day close for expenses).
  • Review and approval journal entries
  • Review and approve general ledger balance sheet account reconciliations of all accounts
  • Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
  • Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits; providing information to external auditors.
  • Maximize return and limit risk on cash by minimizing bank balances; making investments.
  • Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
  • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; advising management on needed actions.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by establishing preventive maintenance requirements and service contracts; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  • Manages assigned financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Evaluate Finance team members for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as providing individuals with professional and personal growth
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.
