About The Position

Ruggable is looking for a Controller to help us leverage systems, drive operational efficiency, and provide support over international expansion. The Controller will be tasked with monthly financial reporting and ensure a smooth financial close process.

Requirements

Great communication skills, both written and oral
CPA License (inactive OK)
Excellent people management skills
Advanced Excel user, comfortable working with large datasets
Experience using NetSuite or other large ERP
13+ years of experience in accounting with public and private background
Minimum of 3-5 years of audit experience at nationally recognized firm
Strong technical working of GAAP and ability to research complex topics
4-year degree in accounting or finance
Great attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects

Nice To Haves

Experience working at a Start-up or pre-IPO company
Experience working with foreign subsidiaries a plus
Prior experience with D2C businesses in the consumer products space
Knowledge over ASC 606 and ASC 718

Responsibilities

Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements to both internal and external stakeholders
Lead NetSuite reimplementation for accounting topics, partnering with internal tech group along with outside consultants
Manage annual financial statement audit and international statutory audits
Oversee month-end close process, with added focus on revenue recognition and balance sheet reconciliations
Document key accounting policies and update technical memos
Develop and train accounting team members
Partner with tax and FP&A teams on various projects and workstreams
Update Company’s internal control narratives and matrices
