Job Summary: The Controller will oversee and assist in the monthly preparation of financial statements and analysis reports. Analyzes cost records to ascertain distribution of costs. Classifies labor, material and overhead costs to compute the costs of services provided. Records costs data for use by management in controlling expenditures. Conducts and analyzes audits of costs and prepares reports. Determines and installs accounting methods and procedures. Analyzes actual costs versus standard costs and prepares reports of variances. Compiles costs data for preparation of operating budgets. Prepares cost estimates for new or proposed services. May supervise or direct the work of accountants, financial analysts, or clerical employees engaged in cost or general accounting activities.
