What You Will Do As a Controller, you’ll take ownership of the financial foundation of the business—ensuring accuracy, visibility, and scalability as we grow. You’ll work cross-functionally to connect financial outcomes with operational performance, bringing clarity to both day-to-day execution and long-term decision-making.

Requirements

  • 7–12+ years of progressive experience in accounting and/or finance
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and close processes
  • Experience in operationally complex environments such as logistics, fulfillment, CPG, or manufacturing
  • Proven ability to build and improve systems, processes, and financial infrastructure
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to translate operational activity into financial insights
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with operations, logistics, and leadership teams
  • Hands-on and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Strong communicator who can clearly present financial insights to non-finance stakeholders
  • Experience overseeing AP/AR and accounting workflows

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in high-growth or startup environments is a plus
  • Familiarity with WMS, ERP, or logistics-related systems and experience with multi-entity structures and intercompany accounting are ideal characteristics
  • Bonus points for CPA or equivalent certification

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO, supporting decision-making around pricing, client selection, expansion, and new service lines
  • Own and lead the monthly close process, ensuring financials are accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant
  • Oversee AP/AR functions, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and strong financial controls
  • Manage cash flow, forecasting, and overall financial visibility; deliver timely financial reporting with variance analysis and insights
  • Build and maintain true cost visibility across orders, clients, and channels, and develop client-level and operational profitability reporting
  • Ensure billing accuracy across shipping, carrier invoices, and client charges; implement audit systems to prevent overbilling or margin leakage
  • Partner with Operations to translate activity into financial insights, develop KPIs, and identify inefficiencies to improve margin and performance
  • Lead and develop the accounting function, providing guidance, structure, and accountability
  • Own and improve accounting systems and integrations across WMS, billing platforms, and financial tools
  • Build scalable processes to support multi-warehouse growth and increasing operational complexity
  • Establish and manage financial structure across multiple entities, including intercompany transactions and transfer pricing logic
  • Ensure compliance across tax, payroll, and regulatory requirements; lead audit preparation and maintain strong internal controls

  • Competitive base salary range of $130,000 - 150,000 (final salary commensurate with experience) + annual bonus tied to company performance
