The Contracts Manager is responsible for successfully managing contracts and directing and coordinating activities to meet contract specifications.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic sales techniques that result in attaining new business partnerships.
  • Demonstrated ability to train and lead entry level staff members
  • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service and collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse constituent.
  • Functional knowledge of MS Office software
  • Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Minimum of two (2) years prior management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • High School graduate or GED preferred
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to provide proof of insurance is required to drive personal vehicle on company business.
  • Additionally, an acceptable motor vehicle record based on Goodwill guidelines is required to drive a company vehicle or transport program participants.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including ability to communicate effectively with staff as well as Director of Business Services.
  • Class C License preferred.
  • Forklift operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage mattress and rag recycling operations and staffing
  • Lead mattress collection efforts from counties and land fills
  • Lead sales efforts of recycled rags
  • Assist Director of Business Services in the identification of reuses and potential customers of recycled mattress materials
  • Assist Director of Business Services in identifying and soliciting new sustainability and material recycling programs
  • Ensure contractual compliance through surveillance, audits, trip reports, hands on inspections and interviews with customers, building occupants, employees, and project management.
  • Ensure that financial goals for each contract are met.
  • Develop cost proposals for new work and renewals. Conduct proposal presentations to new and existing customers.
  • Monitor contract spending, inflation, and pricing guidelines for vendors and subcontractors.
  • Ensures accuracy of customer billing.
  • Evaluate and recommend products, equipment and tools that are necessary for job function.
  • Ensure timely maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Develop and implement an effective sales plan to meet or exceed established new business objectives for medium to large size accounts, along with Director of Business Services.
  • Enhances safety program by following all federal, state and agency safety requirements.
  • Ensure staff wears safety equipment; follows the use of chemicals and equipment according to the manufacturer’s directions; attends required training.
  • Coordinate with mission services department on mission integration within contracts.
  • Ability to coordinate and physically direct job startups as well as job closures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
