The Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) has an exciting opportunity for an Analyst, Contracts within the Global Patriot program area. A Contracts professional is the official point of contact for all contractual business matters and handles all verbal and written communication with the customer’s procurement representative. The intention of this role is to provide rich development opportunities through targeted experiential and applied learning. In this role, you will learn how to be responsible for customer communication, contract management, change management, coordination of invoicing, fulfillment of contract requirements in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. You will need to utilize and develop business acumen and subject matter expertise to understand program performance requirements, provide guidance, and influence results in support of program and financial objectives. Additionally, the Analyst, Contracts is required to work closely with Program Management leadership, the Office of General Counsel, and cross-functional peers in support of program gate reviews, program management reviews, business strategy sessions, proposal reviews, risk management activities, and all other contractual related matters affecting the portfolio. This role will work with both internal and external customers to ensure programs' performance, provide guidance, and influence outcomes to achieve desired results. The role will be located onsite in Tewksbury, MA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Customer Relationships
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Majors: Political Science, Economics, Government, International Studies, International Relations, History, Classics, Communications, Pre-Law or Supply Chain
  • Previous internship experience in a related field
  • Experience leading a team project
  • Experience working in the aerospace and defense or a related industry
  • Active US Government DoD Secret Security Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Develop skills as a contracts professional by participating in experiential learning and on the job training, progressively taking more ownership of contract tasks
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to establish mutually beneficial relationships and influence business decisions
  • Investigate and resolve complex contractual matters by applying astute critical thinking, gathering detailed information, seeking creative contracting techniques, and proactively collaborating with relevant stakeholders
  • Draft and review proposals to ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements, represent a balanced risk/opportunity posture and deliver a financially sound business case while adhering to company policies and standards
  • Some international and/or domestic travel may be required
