About The Position

Idaho Power — located in vibrant Boise, Idaho — is looking for a Contract Manager to join our Supply Chain Procurement team. It’s an exciting time to work for Idaho Power. While this position is based at Idaho Power’s downtown Boise location, we offer employees both flexible schedules and the opportunity to work up to 40% remote after a period of demonstrated proficiency in their role. What does a Contract Manager do for us? The Contract Manager works independently and with minimal guidance to lead stakeholders in the development of internal customer materials and service contracts of significant risk and/or complexity. They lead the competitive bidding process, negotiations, and prepare comprehensive contract documents. The Contract Manger will meet business unit cost objectives with focus on delivering the best value to Idaho Power. In addition to supporting Idaho Power’s traditional contracting activities, this position supports internal customer needs by independently interpreting contractual requirements, providing guidance on contract terms, and ensuring ongoing compliance with contractual obligations throughout the full contract lifecycle. Ability to: Drive complex contract negotiations and competitive Request for Proposal/Bid events to achieve optimal terms and cost savings

Build and manage supplier relationships to enhance performance and long-term value
Lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to deliver results
Communicate clearly and persuasively with technical experts and senior leadership

Education: Bachelor's degree OR An equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience: 6 or more years related work experience
Licenses & Certifications: Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record based on driving requirements for the position.
This position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment, fine motor skills including typing on the computer, dialing phones, filing paper, and working in close proximity to other people. There may be occasional lifts of no more than 10 lbs.
