The focus of the position will be to establish and track detailed material release and production status and reports for each assigned contract. This individual will also monitor material releases and procurement progress through production for assigned contracts. This person must identify, communicate and mitigate contract execution delays appropriately The ideal candidate will have demonstrated capabilities in collaborating with others to perform engineering tasks within a team environment. Work experience with a privately held company will be beneficial.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of Material Planning or Expediting experience is preferred.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Strong skills with Excel required.
  • Working knowledge of Planning / Purchasing/ Accounts Receivable modules in ERP systems (MS Dynamics AX preferred).
  • Ability to track multiple projects at a time (15-25 projects combined sales value up to 50MM).
  • Ability to act as the Supply Chain liaison with Project Management and disseminate requirements to the various Supply Chain Departments (Purchasing, QA, MPC&L, and Plants) and maintain all the information to be able to give a Supply Chain & Project Manager summary of where the project stands at any given time.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor Project Management & Contract Engineering (PMCE) status of each assigned contract with the Project Manager to ensure that scheduled material release dates are met in a timely manner.
  • Communicate production lead-time requirements by discipline to Project Management at contract kick-off.
  • Align material release expectations with production capabilities and resolves or elevates issues
  • Ensure release dates are met vs. commitments.
  • Resolve issues with material releases and transfer into ERP system.
  • Monitor and drive contract execution with the Project Management team on material supplied by UCC and suppliers.
  • Develop and utilize high-level project execution schedule as needed.
  • Identify potential delays, track shortages, and work with buyers, planners and engineering to deliver upon customer requirements.
  • All other duties as assigned.
