About The Position

As a Contract and Subscription Data Operations Intern, you’ll support Best Buy’s membership, protection plan, and subscriptions operations while learning the critical role that data plays in this space. In this role, you will gain insights into how we approach challenges related to contract data and how data and reporting are leveraged to make business decisions and enable resolution of issues that impact Best Buy, our vendors, and most importantly – customers . In this role, you will gain insights into how we approach many challenges associated with being one of the nation’s leading retailers. This internship also will give you the opportunity to develop industry-related skills in a professional environment, network with Best Buy employees and explore a wide variety of career paths. This internship will be available from June to August 2026. This role is remote eligible, allowing you to work virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. For the duration of the internship, you are required to live and work in the United States. If you are local to our corporate campus, you will be asked to come into the office 3 days per week. This internship does not have the potential to lead to a full-time opportunity.

Requirements

Must be pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, graduating between fall 2026 and spring 2029
Must be able to work 40 hours a week Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00am-5pm Central Time Zone
Must be able to commit to the internship start and end date of 6/1/2026- 8/7/2026
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc., will not be considered)
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

Analyze discrepancies between our contract system and the various cloud and on-premises data warehouses.
Identify system defects that impact contracts and subscriptions as well as work with system support teams to remediate impacted plans.
Assist in building, enhancing, and supporting reporting and self-service solutions for operational, error management, and cross-functional partner needs.
Build and maintain effective relationships with internal partners including the broader Operations team, Category, IT, Controllership, and Finance.
