Requirements

  • Engineering background with strong understanding of operations and lean principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; a true people person and problem solver.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (mandatory); Power BI or SAP experience is a plus.
  • Ability to coach teams, build systems, and collaborate within a strong leadership team.

Nice To Haves

  • Green Belt or Black Belt certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for coaching the rigorous usage and ongoing improvement of lean manufacturing tools in the Pryor Paper Mill and Converting Plant.
  • Conduct quarterly loss analyses to identify top opportunities, lead cost savings initiatives, and ensure site action plans are well aligned with the most impactful opportunities.
  • Provide guidance, support, and coaching on rigorous usage of foundational lean tools - PerformEx as a way of working every day.
  • Execute regular loss analysis data drilldowns to identify key opportunities for improvements.
  • Serve as the problem-solving lead for helping teams solve complex issues following a DMAIC process.
  • Lead cost reduction initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools.
