Complete projects in various departments that may include with use of lean tool such as Standard Work, 5s, Kanban, Changeover reduction, Error Proofing and Visual Management. Monitor work on shop floor or office for evidence of waste and non-value-added activity that impedes the flow of material or information. Conduct audits and report findings. Assist in preparing information and research materials; create and maintain PowerPoint presentations Take notes and memos during improvement workshops; type documents, drafts, and reports; sort and manage files Manage databases and input information, data, and records Attend company functions and networking event

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent; must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program pursing a bachelor’s degree in a field of engineering
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-directed and able to work without supervision
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
