The Job: As the Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will be part of the Tools & Outdoor Global Supply Chain team based out of East Longmeadow, MA. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Roadmap for Lean, and the facilitation of teams to drive Best-in-Class performance in East Longmeadow using the Stanley Performance Excellence (SPX) Model. This includes establishing and training, managing specific improvement programs, deploying technology for tracking/reporting performance, and assuring timely completion of improvement goals. You’ll also get to: Drive success of the lean program for the East Longmeadow Plant. Ensure that safety and ergonomic considerations are a primary focus in all Lean. Utilize principles of Lean manufacturing to train and coach teams to improve processes and productivity across the operations. Plan, lead, and facilitate execution of Stanley Black & Decker core standards. Work with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Finance, and Operations to select optimum manufacturing equipment, methods, and sequence of operations to produce high-quality products at the lowest practical cost. Review daily reports and KPIs to identify problems and establish responsibility for correction. Work in conjunction with other departments or personnel to provide Lean insights into their continuous improvement or cost reduction projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions that improve productivity, quality, delivery, cost, and safety. Requirements

  • 5+ years continuous improvement project management or program management experience
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
