The CI Engineer will be responsible for leading and working with operations to deliver product yield improvement across all manufacturing processes. Why join us? The Role: As a key member of the manufacturing operations team,The Technical CI Engineer is responsible for leading and working with operations to deliver product yield improvement across all manufacturing processes. This includes taking control of data collection, analysis of data and creating projects based on results to improve site performance. Additionally, the CI engineer will contribute to other departments by helping to simplify and/or streamline various processes and procedures to create a lean environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and PC applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred degrees include: Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
  • Some training in Solidworks or AutoCAD preferred
  • We are keen to hear from individuals who are proficient in Microsoft Office and PC applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and previous Green or Black belt training.
  • If you have a minimum of 3 years work experience in manufacturing environment within a metallurgy environment; ideally within aerospace, then we'd like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Create and design trials for the continuous improvement of plant yield.
  • Implement new procedures and tools to improve yield based on trial results.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs related to the manufacturing yields of superalloys.
  • Lead root cause analysis and deploy countermeasures using DMAIC methodology.
  • Support quality in corrective action investigations.
  • Advocate standard work and change management.
  • Produce clear SOP/ WI to support change, new projects and corrective actions.
  • Create, manage, and control technical drawings.
  • Support maintenance team in design, preflight deployment, and best practices.
  • Support purchasing in defining critical quality.
  • Support site safety and advocate for safe working environments.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize concurrent long-term projects while supporting unpredictable, short-term countermeasure projects.
  • Flexible work capacity to run investigations/trials on production schedules that run 24/7 work weeks.
  • Relentless root cause analysis skills.
