About The Position

The Content Writer will develop compelling, high-quality content to support AssetMark’s marketing and communications strategies. This role is responsible for creating engaging materials across a variety of formats, including blogs, knowledge base articles, case studies, research reports, brochures, infographics, social media, and executive thought leadership. The Content Writer may also support other content initiatives such as video scripts, podcast episodes, and presentations. This is an individual contributor role that works cross-functionally with subject matter experts and teams across marketing—including events, advisor journey marketing, product, and channel marketing—to ensure content aligns with AssetMark’s brand voice, resonates with target audiences, and supports business priorities. This is a full-time position in our Concord, CA office with a hybrid work schedule.

Requirements

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong professional portfolio (samples required)
  • Ability to simplify complex financial and investment topics into engaging content
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; able to meet multiple deadlines
  • Highly detail-oriented, creative, and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Collaborative and comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • A bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, finance, or a related field is required
  • 7+ years of professional writing experience, preferably in financial services, investments, or wealth management, is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to produce content across multiple formats and channels
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with content marketing tools, CMS platforms, and SEO best practices is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging, high-quality content across multiple formats (blogs, articles, case studies, reports, brochures, infographics, social media, etc.)
  • Translate complex financial and investment concepts into clear, compelling narratives for different audiences
  • Partner with subject matter experts and stakeholders to research, draft, edit, and finalize content
  • Support additional content needs, including video scripts, podcast episodes, and presentations
  • Participate in planning meetings and collaborate on content strategy and campaign execution
  • Edit content based on stakeholder feedback, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency with brand voice
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering content on time and aligned to business goals
  • Contribute to content optimization efforts, including applying SEO best practices where appropriate
  • As needed, support other content needs of the communications and marketing team as well as the larger firm, for example, press releases, awards submissions, etc.
