About The Position

The Creative Team within FAS Marketing has an exciting opportunity for an S3 writer supporting work within the Models business. This role has great growth potential due to the dynamic, fast-paced nature of these products. Models is a focus for FAS, so this role needs someone seasoned in the space, with the ability to self-manage time, be proactive, coordinate between Creative and stakeholders, and introduce innovative thinking and ideas. Requirements

  • Minimum five years related work experience.
  • Strong financial acumen, specifically related to models portfolios.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and PPT.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Creates in-depth, compelling communications and positioning on a range of subjects, including Vanguard funds, products, and services; financial markets; the economy; regulatory matters; portfolio construction and theory, and internal communication topics, with a main focus on Models.
  • Displays versatility in producing clear communications through a wide range of styles and channels, including responsive web pages, campaigns, ads, emails, presentations, blogs, videos, letters, articles, and social media channels.
  • Expertly presents and "sells" content and design solutions to senior management, project teams, marketing partners, and stakeholders.
  • Ensures the success of the strategy and shares out solutions with peers.
  • Assumes a leadership role on key projects for the department or cross departments that require data analytics and subject matter expertise, including responsive web pages, timely communications, campaigns, visioning, testing, and news.
  • Provides direction and guidance on messaging and/or content strategy across mediums-working closely and collaboratively with designers, developers, marketing managers, and business leaders.
  • Leads the creation of new approaches or processes with a 1-3 year outlook.
  • Documents and distributes strategy materials to peers.
  • Serves as mentor to less experienced writers by providing specific feedback on their copy, story ideas, new media formatting, and interviewing skills.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
  • Identifies and pursues process improvements as needed.
