About The Position

We’re seeking an experienced Content Strategist II to lead client-focused content strategy and execution across a range of formats, industries, and global markets. In this role, you’ll partner directly with clients to translate business goals into high-impact content strategies, oversee execution across campaigns, and ensure content drives engagement, performance, and measurable results. You’ll collaborate with global teams and occasionally support Extu’s corporate marketing initiatives, contributing strategic, long-form content aligned to brand and campaign goals.

Requirements

  • Degree in English, Media, Marketing or Business
  • 5+ years of experience in content strategy, marketing, agency, or editorial roles
  • Ability to ask smart, strategic questions and deliver client-facing content strategies and recommendations
  • Organized with strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding project management skills
  • Proven copy editing and proofreading abilities
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously within a global team and organization
  • Confidence in asking questions to ensure project outcomes and meet expectations
  • Facilitating effective working relationships with external and internal stakeholders
  • Capable problem-solving skills, demonstrating the ability to create efficiencies and increased productivity
  • Ability to contribute effective long-form content within established editorial and brand frameworks

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with clients in multiple global geographies and languages a plus
  • Multi-lingual a plus
  • Experience with a Content Management System (ContentStack would be a plus) as well as ingesting and interpreting insights on website performance using Google Analytics, or similar tool would be a plus
  • Team player with positive energy, who shows great initiative, and a get-it-done attitude

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with client teams and clients to understand their brand identity, target audience, marketing objectives, and content needs.
  • Conduct client interviews and workshops to gather insights and align content strategies with their business goals.
  • Develop campaign strategies and plans by meeting with clients, performing industry research, and studying performance data of past content
  • Support global content planning and content calendar management across multiple campaigns
  • Develop and implement client-focused content strategies that align with our clients' brand goals, target audience, and marketing objectives.
  • Identify content opportunities, gaps, and trends to maximize audience engagement and drive conversions.
  • Collaborate with global teams to align priorities and delivery
  • Lead the development of content briefs and oversee execution to ensure quality, consistency, and on-time delivery.
  • Review and edit content to ensure accuracy, regional relevance, and alignment with client brand standards.
  • Contribute content directly when needed across campaigns, client communications, and strategic initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to expand our Marketing Services offerings by exploring client needs, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Stay ahead of emerging content, marketing, and AI technology trends to proactively identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Experiment with new tools, formats, and processes to improve content performance and production efficiency across teams.
  • Leverage analytics to inform wider content strategy and incorporate insights into quarterly content planning
  • Produce ongoing content performance reporting to communicate to the global business using Domo, our data and insights visualization tool
