About The Position

AIA Contract Documents (ACD) is the industry standard for architecture and construction contracts, trusted for over 135 years. Our Catina platform is a secure, cloud-based hub for creating and managing contract documents. We are modernizing how architects, engineers, and construction professionals work by simplifying complex legal workflows and driving clarity and fairness across the built environment. We are hiring a Content Marketing Strategist to help shape the direction and evolution of ACD’s content marketing program. This role will define the strategic framework that connects content, SEO, and digital marketing efforts to business goals. You’ll lead editorial planning, set voice and messaging standards, and collaborate cross-functionally with product, sales, and customer teams to ensure our content informs, engages, and converts. This is a unique opportunity to elevate ACD’s thought leadership, establish scalable content-creation processes, and drive measurable impact through strategic storytelling.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of content marketing, editorial, or content strategy experience, ideally within SaaS, B2B, or technical or legal industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage content operations: editorial guidelines, content lifecycle, workflows, multi-format publishing, and distribution strategy.
  • Strong understanding of buyer personas, customer journey mapping, and conversion-oriented content planning.
  • Knowledge of SEO, content performance analytics, and data-driven content optimization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, strong editorial judgement, and ability to lead cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience managing external contributors and coordinating content across teams.
  • Proficiency with content management systems (CMS), analytics tools, marketing automation, and content workflow tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity or background in architecture, engineering, construction, legal technology, or related domains.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the content strategy and multi-year editorial roadmap aligned with ACD’s growth goals, product launches, SEO/GEO direction, and full customer journey (awareness → evaluation → decision → onboarding → retention).
  • Establish content governance and operations, including editorial guidelines, brand voice and tone, taxonomy and metadata standards, review workflows, documentation, and content lifecycle management (audit → refresh → retire).
  • Participate in persona and buyer journey mapping, ensuring content is tailored to user needs and accurately reflects customer pain points, industry challenges, and product value.
  • Write and develop high-impact, long-formand strategic content, such as thought leadership pieces, major research reports, white papers, product narratives, solution briefs, and executive-level messaging.
  • Craft strategic content frameworks in conjunction with product marketing, including messaging architectures, storylines, narrative guides, positioning statements, value propositions, and product/feature-specific content.
  • Support major launch initiatives with core content assets, messaging briefs, anchor articles, solution guides, and customer education content.
  • Translate complex legal and technical subject matter into authoritative, accessible content for architects, engineers, contractors, and legal professionals.
  • Work closely with the marketing copywriters to guide content execution, provide strategic briefs, and uphold editorial standards.
  • Partner with product marketing, product management, digital marketing, sales, and customer success to ensure content supports GTM, adoption, customer lifecycle, and retention needs.
  • Support content distribution and promotion plans, ensuring content is effectively leveraged across web, email, campaigns, SEO/GEO initiatives, webinars, and other owned channels.
  • Identify opportunities to repurpose content across formats and maximize reach and impact.
  • Define content KPIs and measurement frameworks; monitor traffic, engagement, conversions, and content effectiveness across the funnel.
  • Conduct ongoing content audits to identify gaps, redundancies, or outdated assets, and drive refresh cycles.
  • Use performance insights, customer feedback, and competitive analysis to continuously refine strategy and prioritize content opportunities.
