About The Position

We’re hiring a Content Marketer to scale Handoff’s content engine across SEO, social, and video by consistently shipping high-quality, contractor-first content that drives qualified traffic and conversions. In this role, you’ll own content from idea → brief → draft → edit → publish → distribution. You’ll build topical authority in search, repurpose ideas across channels, and elevate our website and lifecycle messaging with strong, conversion-oriented copy. This is a high-ownership role for someone who combines taste, speed, and data-driven thinking. This role is ideal for a content operator who understands how to balance creativity with structure — someone who can write with voice and clarity, move quickly, and layer light project management into their workstreams to ensure consistent output.

Requirements

  • 3–6+ years of experience in content marketing, SEO, or editorial roles (B2B SaaS preferred)
  • Strong writing taste with the ability to maintain a consistent brand voice
  • Proven experience writing SEO-driven content that ranks and drives measurable traffic
  • Comfortable working from dashboards and performance data to inform content decisions
  • Able to manage a backlog and maintain a high shipping cadence
  • Experience writing website and lifecycle email copy that drives conversion
  • Comfortable scripting short-form video and collaborating on lightweight production
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to layer planning into creative workstreams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience writing for contractors, trades, or other blue-collar audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a reliable weekly publishing cadence across SEO, social, and video
  • Own topic selection based on contractor needs, search intent, and product positioning
  • Write long-form SEO content that ranks and converts
  • Repurpose core ideas into social posts, short-form video scripts, and newsletters
  • Contribute and iterate on homepage, landing pages, and comparison pages to improve clarity and conversion
  • Write lifecycle emails (onboarding, activation, education, winback) tied to activation and upsell goals
  • Use performance data (Search Console, analytics, attribution reporting) to refine topics and improve results
  • Build content systems (brief templates, distribution checklists, style guides) that create leverage for the team
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Sales to ensure messaging reflects real contractor workflows and objections
