About The Position

Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, a Jesuit, college-preparatory, co-educational school for grades 9-12 may have additional openings for Teachers for the 2026-27 school year in all content areas. The successful candidate will have a commitment to Catholic education and a willingness to work with a population of diverse learners. Additionally, the teacher is dedicated to developing the whole person in academics, religious growth, and commitment to others. Candidates are encouraged to share their resumes and may be contacted once positions have been identified. The candidate will be responsible for teaching five sections within the assigned department, subjects commensurate with experience and staffing needs.

Requirements

Minimum of a BA degree in subject area; MA preferred.
Illinois Professional Educator License preferred (non-licensed applicants must become certified within five years).
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
The ability to respond effectively to the needs of students.
Understanding of educational theory and practice.
Ability to use technology inside and outside the classroom.
Delivering instruction in English while prioritizing Spanish language proficiency to support dual-language learning.
Commitment to working with a diverse student body.
Willingness to collaborate with others.
Familiarity with current instructional methodologies.
Classroom management skills.

Nice To Haves

Successful teaching experience at the secondary level preferred.
Familiarity with the goals, objectives, and mission of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School
Familiarity with Spanish language and first-generation students preferred.
