About The Position

Management of all outbound shipments, assign tasks for all Shipping Supervisors and Shipping Specialist, Control Cost and KPI items.

Requirements

  • Languages spoken commonly in the workplace are English and Mandarin.
  • Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers.
  • 1 to 3 years logistics experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor degree or higher
  • The employee is regularly required o stand for long periods.
  • Duties include turning at the waist, reaching, bending, squatting and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to pass static strength requirements (grip)
  • Visual acuity including, but not limited to: NEAR ACUITY - Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less. Use this factor when special and minute accuracy is demanded.
  • Visual acuity including, but not limited to: FAR ACUITY - Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more. Use this factor when visual efficiency in terms of far acuity is required in day and night/dark conditions.
  • Visual acuity including, but not limited to: DEPTH PERCEPTION - Three-dimensional vision. Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships so as to see objects where and as they actually are.
  • Visual acuity including, but not limited to: COLOR VISION - Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Visual acuity including, but not limited to: FIELD OF VISION - Observing an area that can be seen up and down or to right or left while eyes are fixed on a given point.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

  • Proficient in the type of customer's containers, customer container codes and the corresponding Fuyao programs and Fuyao codes.
  • Evaluate demand vs. loaded quantities vs. shipped quantities vs. delivered quantities of containers to ensure proper container handling is in place and delivery service meets the contractual requirements
  • Track the overall quantity, availability, and location of containers. Coordinate physical counts of on-hand container quantities for designated customers.
  • Continuously monitor the availability of containers to fulfill customer requirements. Identify container shortages and coordinate alternate solutions. Take the lead in notifying affected customers and coordinating mitigation strategies.
  • Analyze the root cause of container shortages. Implement changes to processes and policies to minimize future shortages.
  • Document the receipt of containers and create reports of inbound and outbound container data.
  • Manage and maintain the accuracy of container data on customer container web portals.
  • Formulate and implement the overall container management process in collaboration with department manager / director.
  • Determine the optimum layout for container locations on the plant floor. Maintain container location data / assignments in the productoin infromation system.
  • Manage communication with internal colleagues in production, logistics, warehouse, and customer account managers.
  • Manage container repair and refurbishment. Identify and coordiante the replacement of missing containers or containers damaged beyond repair.
  • Timely complete reports and other matters of importance as assigned by supervisors.
  • Know about important environmental factors, dangerous sources, and the methods of controlling them.
  • Execute and implement integrated management system regulations that apply to container management.
  • Document policies and procedures for container management practices.
  • Track and classify scrap and waste related to container management. Assign costs to scrap and waste as required.
  • Assist in other responsibilities.
