Summary: MGO is seeking an experienced Advisory Consulting Manager to join our growing advisory practice. This role will lead and manage engagements involving financial due diligence, fraud investigations, litigation support, and forensic accounting, while supervising and developing junior team members. The Advisory Consulting Manager will serve as a key liaison between clients and engagement teams, overseeing project execution, ensuring technical excellence, and contributing to practice growth through mentoring, quality control, and client relationship management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
  • CPA required & CFE is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience with financial due diligence support, fraud and litigation support, and forensic accounting.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising, mentoring, and coaching lower-level staff.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and forensic accounting principles.
  • Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills; experience with data analytics tools is a plus.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines in a fast-paced advisory environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage financial due diligence engagements, including quality of earnings and financial trend analyses.
  • Direct and oversee fraud investigations and forensic accounting engagements, including case strategy and data analysis.
  • Provide litigation and dispute support, including oversight of damages analyses, expert reports, and discovery assistance.
  • Review and interpret complex financial data to identify risks, irregularities, and key insights.
  • Supervise, mentor, and coach senior consultants and junior staff, providing performance feedback and technical guidance.
  • Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and staffing to meet delivery and quality expectations.
  • Review workpapers, reports, and deliverables to ensure accuracy and adherence to professional standards.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations, communicating complex financial matters clearly.
  • Collaborate with partners and leadership on engagement planning and practice initiatives.
  • Support business development efforts, including proposals and client relationship expansion.
  • Performs other duties as assigned from time to time by leadership.
