As a Consulting Director, Power & Renewables, you'll be at the forefront of transformative projects that span traditional and renewable energy, transmission lines, and complex permitting landscapes. You'll be a strategic force behind ERM's growth in North America, guiding clients through the full lifecycle of capital project development-from site selection and stakeholder engagement to permitting, construction, and decommissioning. Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Management, or a related field. Or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience in environmental consulting or industry roles related to permitting and impact assessment.
Proven success in leading complex permitting programs across sectors (e.g., power, oil & gas, mining).
Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance strategies.
Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering client-facing projects.

Nice To Haves

Advanced degree (e.g., MSc, MBA, PhD) in a relevant discipline.
Experience with renewable energy permitting and transmission infrastructure.
Familiarity with Indigenous and community engagement practices.
Bilingual capabilities (e.g., Spanish, French) are a plus.
Demonstrated commitment to DEIB and health & safety excellence.

Responsibilities

Client Development: Cultivate and expand relationships with major energy clients, delivering strategic insights and exceptional service.
Business Growth: Drive commercial strategies to win new business and grow ERM's Capital Project Development practice.
Project Leadership: Oversee delivery teams, ensure quality and compliance, and manage stakeholder-facing engagements.
Team Building: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performance consulting team.
Operational Excellence: Meet financial targets, manage risk, and uphold ERM's standards for safety and sustainability.
