Job Summary and Qualifications As the Consulting Business Analyst, you will serve as a vital member of HCA's financial systems team and use your skills, experience, and talents to help expand and enhance the ERP/EBA design and setup across the entire HCA organization. As the Consulting Business Analyst you will take the lead as you: Work with the EAS (Enterprise Accounting Services) team to propose and drive a long term roadmap strategy for ERP/EBA financial, accounts payable, and procurement systems across all business units. Work closely with our business leaders to help champion their needs and ensure a successful partnership between them and our ITG partners Work with business units and ITG staff to ensure solutions will scale appropriately while being cost effective Articulate strategies and tradeoffs to stakeholders, senior management and business partners Identify opportunities that will drive improvements in performance, scalability, reliability and re-usability

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is one of the following: Accounting, Business, Computer Science, MIS, Engineering Management is required
  • 5+ years of experience in relevant ERP/EBA systems (Infor, Oracle, Workday, etc.) is required
  • Strong analytical skills and business process knowledge
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and collaborate with a small team to efficiently distribute work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly the technical solutions on both a business and technical level to the entire organization
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to use project management systems including Atlassian Jira, and Microsoft ADO
  • Ability to use diagramming or flowchart software such as Microsoft Visio, Gliffy, or similar
  • Ability to use a document management system such as Microsoft SharePoint

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting processes is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare industry is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and document business needs with stakeholders including accounting, accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury
  • Serve as a liaison between the business users and the technical teams to ensure the ERP/EBA systems support organizational goals
  • Identify, map, and optimize business processes including accounting, accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury
  • Work directly with other business units to: Document requirements, including process and data flow diagrams Recommend, document, and implement solutions utilizing existing software application functionality or recommend additional software applications Recommend, document, and implement solutions to meet the various reporting needs of the company
  • Work with HCA's IT department and external consultants to: Define and support the implementation of new systems, system upgrades, and additional functionality available in existing systems
  • Evaluate various proposed IT solutions and facilitate discussions between the various technical groups, i.e. developers, database administrators, network services, data architects, etc.
  • Assist with support, maintenance, and resolution of issues with high-level complexity and difficulty
  • Coordinate testing of software implementations, upgrades, and enhancements from the business owner and user perspective
  • Produce documentation of standard accounting and operating procedures, ERP/EBA system support processes, and interface design specifications
  • Provide direction and support during system developments and implementations
  • Enter and maintain setup data such as accounting entities, vendors, and security requests in various systems
  • Coordinate with both internal and external auditors to develop, verity, and test SOX compliant internal control processes
