Your Responsibilities as a Construction Services / Water Resources Intern : Work in the field on active (and inactive) construction sites, and urban landscapes. Sediment and erosion control site maintenance and inspections. Post-construction restoration, remediation, etc. Permanent water quality facility maintenance and inspections. Complete written field reports. Take direction from supervisor to perform various field duties. Ability to work with hand and power tools. Ability to lift and carry 60 pounds. Strong verbal communication. Customer service experience a plus. Observe safe work practices. Develop local, State, and Federal regulatory knowledge. Actively develop your own career growth.
Requirements
- 0-2 years of experience (construction, landscaping/hardscaping, irrigation, etc. a plus).
- Basic environmental science and regulatory knowledge.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Awareness of safety standards and practices.
- Good record keeping.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Access to reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience a plus.
