Professional Service Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) is a leading US based provider of construction assurance, testing and inspection in civil and commercial construction. Our broad service offering includes construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing. The Construction QC / QA Inspector is responsible for conducting jobsite inspections and materials testing throughout the SeaTac Area.

Requirements

5+ years relevant construction inspection, quality assurance and quality control experience on transportation/heavy civil projects
ACI and ICC Certifications
Valid Driver’s License and reliable driving record
Must have Basic Math, Calculator, and Computer Skills
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be fluent in English
Must be able to read plans and specifications
Must be able to work off shifts and overtime
Computer skills, especially familiarity with MS Office applications. are necessary
Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently. Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance
Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound
Ability to kneel, squat and climb occasionally
Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (hot and cold)

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or equivalent
One or more of the following certifications: ICC, ACI, Nuclear Gauge, WABO, WAQTC, and/or CWI

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of testing, project-specific observations, and inspection duties under general supervision
Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams
Use specific methods to observe site activities and perform tasks
Read and interpret plans and specifications
Maintain and calibrate standard equipment
Make detailed observations and gives the interpretation of results
Train/supervise and perform complex assignments and work tasks
Attend project meetings alone without supervision
Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results
Communicate effectively with client and project teams
