About The Position

Mills Construction Inc. is seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Project Manager/Estimator to join our team. Based in Brookings, SD, this is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to lead project teams from pre-construction through to closeout on vertical building projects. Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management
Minimum 3+ years of experience as a vertical building Construction Project Manager/Estimator.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Project, and relevant Estimating/Project Management software.
Ability to interact with Owners, Architects, Engineers and other subconsultants.
Ability to lead project progress meetings and project teams.
Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to multitask, work independently, and lead with confidence.

Responsibilities

Analyze project documents, blueprints, and plans to understand the project fully.
Prepare material and labor cost estimates and perform accurate take-offs.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
Managing cost/change control, including change order review, negotiation, and recommendations, delay analysis and ensure tracking of all key project documents, including submittals, RFI’s, change order, invoices and payments, lien releases, etc.
Coordinate with Superintendents on schedules, labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
Maintain weekly schedules to ensure budget management and tracking.
