About The Position

At Durable Restoration, we don’t just work on buildings — we preserve history. Our mission is to restore and protect some of the most significant historic structures in the country, including churches, government buildings, universities, museums, and landmark private residences. These buildings define communities. They hold stories. And our clients trust us to safeguard their character and extend their lifespan for generations to come. If you are passionate about construction, thrive on solving complex challenges, and take pride in craftsmanship and integrity, we want to meet you. Why This Role Matters Every project we take on is unique. Historic structures require more than standard estimating methods — they demand critical thinking, deep construction knowledge, and a true understanding of how buildings function. We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented professional who can evaluate projects, think through construction processes from start to finish, and deliver accurate, profitable, and comprehensive estimates — all while upholding “The Durable Way.” This is not a desk-only position. You will visit job sites, climb bell towers, evaluate historic masonry, meet with decision-makers, and collaborate closely with our field teams to ensure excellence in execution.

Requirements

  • 2+ year construction-related degree or construction management/estimating experience
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and specification books
  • Deep understanding of construction practices, processes, and sequencing

  • Valid driver’s license (4 points or fewer)
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
  • Ability to pass Federal, NSA, and Department of Defense background checks
