About The Position
Responsible for providing daily inspection of the work of trade contractors on mid-size and large-scale projects to ensure compliance with appropriate codes, laws and standards of construction.
Nice To Haves
- Degree in Architecture or Construction Engineering/Management is preferred.
- Prefer 5+ years’ experience in Construction Management.
- Prefer 5+ years’ experience performing construction inspections for city, state or federal agencies.
- Prefer knowledge of International Building Code, International Mechanical Code, National Electric Code and Uniform Plumbing Code for building construction contracts.
- Prefer knowledge of Texas State University construction and design standards.
- Prefer knowledge of National Fire Protection Association Life Safety Code.
- Prefer knowledge of Texas Accessibility Standards and Americans with Disabilities Act.
- Prefer knowledge of OSHA Standards.
